O2's 4G service will launch in August 29 in London, Leeds and Bradford

O2's 4G network will launch on August 29 in London, Leeds and Bradford.
O2 will follow this up later in the year with another 10 towns and cities launching O2's 4G services.
O2 will offer more expensive basic 4G tariffs in comparison to EE, which launched its 4G services in 2012.
EE's lowest cost tariff costs £21 a month for data, voice and texts or £15 per month for just 4G data.
O2's lowest tariff will cost £26 a month and will also include voice, data and texts.
Like EE, O2's prices will increase for higher data caps but it did not detail how much data it would be offering in each tariff.
O2's 4G services will not be as fast as EE in areas that offer double speed 4G, but it will offer comparable speeds in areas running EE's standard 4G services.
O2, owned by Spanish network Telefonica, will also not be able to offer the iPhone 5 on it's new 4G network because it runs on a different 4G frequency not supported in the UK.
O2 is only the second company to announce a launch date for 4G services. Vodafone and Three are said to be bringing high speed mobile broadband services to the UK by the end of the year.
Earlier this week, the 800MHz 4G spectrum was set up ahead of schedule, allowing more UK networks to start running 4G services.
The news comes after EE was told off by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) for not correctly explaining what superfast mobile broadband is in its advertising campaigns.
