The designer behind Mariah Carey's spectacular engagement ring has revealed the great lengths he and his team went to in order to perfect the 35-carat sparkler for James Packer's love.

'I took the standards super high, and I wanted to create a ring that could not be measured up to,' celebrity jeweller Wildred Rosado told Vogue about the rock which is estimated to be worth around $7.5 million.
According to the close friend of 45-year-old Carey, the creation of the ring involved taking into account both the singer's personal taste and Australian businessman Packer's specified request.
